Courmayeur is at the north end of Val d’Aosta, the valley leading north from Turin towards the Italian borders with France and Switzerland. The resort is just a stone’s throw from Chamonix in France, and from a cheap hotel in Courmayeur can be accessed through the Mont Blanc tunnel. Courmayeur being in such close proximity to Mont Blanc will always have a big snow sport and climbing fan club.
